One Time Data Backup

Save secure copies of your computer's files in case of a severe crash. We’ll copy up to 9.4 GB of your important data to CD, DVD or external hard drive. Unlimited backup is also available.

Data Recovery Level 1

TV & Video Setup

Have Geek Squad set up your TV and connect it to up to three video components with neatly dressed, exposed wires.*

An Installer will:

• Conduct a pre-installation site survey upon arrival at your home
• Integrate and connect up to 3 video components (TV, VCR, DVD and/or video game unit; excluding DVR, TiVo, Slingbox or any networked-type video components) in 1 room
• Ensure all wires and cables are neatly dressed
• Program the basic functions of your remote control*
• Clean up work area
• Show you how to use your new equipment

TV Recycling

Geek Squad will remove one television from consumer’s residence and send it to a third-party recycling company who will reuse and/or recycle those parts of the unit that are capable of being reused and/or recycled. The extent to which the parts of any television are capable of being reused or recycled will depend on the nature of the unit.

Note:  TV recycling is FREE with your purchase of any Geek Squad home theater installation. At the time of your installation appointment, we’ll remove and properly dispose of one TV that you designate, at no charge to you.

Flat Panel TV 20” and Under Mounting

You supply the space, mounting bracket and cables and we'll hang your flat-panel TV for you. Plus, we’ll conceal the audio and video cables in between to give you a clean, polished look.  Or we’ll deduct $100 from the cost of service if wires are exposed.

An Installer will:

• Conduct a pre-installation site survey upon arrival at your home
• Mount and secure your flat panel TV to an appropriate wall or cabinet
• Connect the TV power cord to an existing AC power outlet by surface mounting only
• Attach and conceal customer-supplied cables from the TV to a tuner, A/V source components or cable connection by routing up to 25 feet* of cable through one stud bay in a single standard frame wall
• Connect your newly purchased audio/video components in one room
• Integrate up to five newly purchased components with existing and working components (TV, VCR, DVD, video game unit, A/V receiver, CD player, MP3 player, tape deck and similar components)
• Set up speakers to operate up to a 7.1 surround sound system
• Drill access holes as needed for wiring within cabinets
• Program the basic functions of your remote controls
• Clean up work area and remove installation debris
• Show you how to use your new flat-panel TV and components

An Installer will:

• Conduct a pre-installation site survey upon arrival at your home
• Mount and secure your flat panel TV to an appropriate wall or cabinet*

Single Speaker Mounting

You provide the space and speaker mounts and we’ll hang one speaker or a soundbar. Plus, we’ll conceal the speaker wire within the wall or ceiling or beneath your moldings. We’ll also deduct $50 from the service price if your home is pre-wired.

An Installer will:

• Conduct a pre-installation site survey upon arrival at your home
• Mount speaker and hide wires
• Ensure that all wall-fished cables exit points are finished off with either a wall bushing or specialized wall plate
• Verify that speaker is properly positioned and working
• Clean up work area and remove installation debris
• Show you how to use your new speaker

4-5 Speaker Mounting

You provide the space and speaker mounts and we’ll hang up to three front and two rear speakers to set up your 5.1 surround sound system. Plus, we’ll conceal the speaker wire within the wall or ceiling or beneath your moldings. We’ll also deduct $50 from the service price if your home is pre-wired.

An Installer will:

• Conduct a pre-installation site survey upon arrival at your home
• Mount speaker and hide wires
• Ensure that all wall-fished cables exit points are finished off with either a wall bushing or specialized wall plate
• Verify that speakers are properly positioned and working
• Clean up work area and remove installation debris
• Show you how to use your new speakers

Remote Control Programming

We'll program your Harmony or Basic Remote Control so that you can easily operate your TV and home entertainment system from one control.

An Installer will:

• Set up a user ID and password
• Program your Harmony Remote Control for up to 8 devices and 6 activities
• Test the control to ensure all devices are working properly
• Show you how to use your new remote

If you have the Logitech Harmony 890 Remote Control (model 966193-0403), additional services will be required for installation of the RF base stations.

Electronics Haul Away

Help us decrease the amount of e-waste piling up in landfills. When you have your new equipment delivered, ask your Installer take your old electronic equipment. We’ll dispose of it according to state regulations.

Furniture Assembly

Save time and unnecessary frustrations by having Geek Squad assemble your new audio or video console or media center.

An Installer will:

• Assemble one piece of audio/video furniture to manufacturer specifications
• Verify the structural integrity of furniture, and that fit and finish are up to manufacturer's specs
• Set your components on or in furniture, if applicable
• Clean up work area and remove debris

Approximate time commitment: 1–1.5 hours

Networked Component Set Up

An Installer will:

• Conduct a pre-installation site survey upon arrival at your home
• Connect component in one room
• Integrate network capable component to existing Home Network system
• Set up the network capable component to a single computer and load the necessary programs on the computer to allow the TV and computer to communicate with each other
• Ensure that all wires and cables are neatly dressed
• Program the basic functions of your remote control, if needed
• Clean up work area and remove installation debris
• Show you how to work your new networked component

Have one bulk wire for audio or video — such as an RG-59, RG-6 or Cat-5E cable — installed and concealed within 100 feet in one room.

An Installer will:

• Determine the specific purpose for the cable and the proper cable to be used
• Ensure that cable ends are terminated properly and working
• Ensure that all wires and cables are neatly dressed
• Clean up work area and remove installation debris
• Show you how to operate your newly wired system

Approximate time commitment: 1.5 hours

Outdoor Speaker Installation

Take your audio system outside. Have two speakers installed on your deck, patio, garage or anywhere outside your home within 100 feet from your main receiver.* 

An Installer will:

• Conduct a pre-installation site survey upon arrival at your home
• Conceal wire for speakers within standard frame walls or ceilings, or through an adjoining attic or crawl space
• Ensure that all wall-fished cable exit points are finished off with a wall bushing, specialized wall plate or spackle
• Program the basic functions of your remote control, if needed
• Clean up work area and remove installation debris
• Show you how to work your new speakers

Not included:

• Install in walls or ceilings containing obstructions or with surfaces including plaster, concrete, block or custom treatment
• Speaker mounts
• Universal-type learning remote programming

Wired Networked Component Install

An Installer will:

• Conduct a pre-installation site survey upon arrival at your home
• Program and pre-install one networked component to an existing home network solution
• Run a Cat5E or similar network cable 100 cable feet with properly terminated ends with concealed wire run from component to main system
• Connect component in one room
• Integrate network capable component to existing Home Network system
• Set up the network capable component to a single computer and load the necessary programs on the computer to allow the TV and computer to communicate with each other
• Ensure that all wires and cables are neatly dressed
• Program the basic functions of your remote control, if needed
• Show you how to work your new networked component

Advanced PC Set Up and Server Configuration

You take care of your business, we’ll take care of your new computers. We’ll come in and set up one computer system (computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers), install a single server application, install one peripheral/external device, configure your new computer onto your domain environment, install and configure any network resources (printers, shared devices, etc.) and of course, test everything for proper functionality, to keep your business running smoothly. Hardware and software not included.

Business Wireless Networking for up to Six PCs, Devices

All the advantages of business wireless networking, like file sharing, printing, mobility and backups, for as many as six PCs/devices. Devices include desktops, laptops, PDAs, adapters, printers, etc. Additional devices for $69 each. Hardware and software not included.

Add PCs to Existing VPN

Once your virtual private network is up and running, you may find the need to add additional PCs to your network. We can take care of that, too. Hardware and software not included.

Operating System Install

Whether you need to get your business computer set up for the first time or upgraded to the latest and greatest operating system, we’ll not only install the operating system but also take care of installing all the necessary drivers, critical updates and software titles originally supplied by the manufacturer. Hardware and software not included.

Software Service/Install

You focus on running your business. We’ll focus on the other stuff—like repairing, troubleshooting or installing that software application you’ve been meaning to get to. And don’t worry. We’ll also take care of installing all critical updates for that software and importing up to 100MB of data into the application (if upgrading). Hardware and software not included.

Data Backup/Transfer

We can back up or transfer an unlimited amount of important business information to another medium, including DVD, CD, NAS, internal or external hard drivers or another PC. Hardware and software not included.

Server Service

When your server’s having problems, we can help get it back on track. We’ll come right to your business to troubleshot the problem and repair it. While we’re in there, we’ll clean out any viruses or spyware you’ve picked up, remove any unneeded startup items and programs, and install operating system critical updates. Hardware and software not included.

On-Site Training

Business owner and IT professional. With a little training from Geek Squad, you could do it all. We offer one and two-hour on-site training sessions on your choice of topics like basic server administration, basic PC skills, digital imaging, digital video and more. Hardware and software not included.

iPod Cable to Deck Install

iPod cable connects directly to the back of an aftermarket radio and is routed either through the glove compartment or out underneath the dashboard to allow iPod to be easily plugged in.

OEM Interface iPod Install

An aftermarket iPod adaptor is interfaced with your existing factory radio. The adaptor and cables are hidden behind the dash. The iPod cable will be routed to an agreed upon location. 

Satellite Radio Base Install

Antenna wiring is routed through existing weather stripping through the exterior of the vehicle which provides optimal reception.  Tuner is mounted in an agreed upon location using a supplied bracket.  Power is supplied from the cigarette lighter.

Satellite Radio Advanced Install

FM Modulator (sold separately) is hard wired to audio system, antenna is routed and concealed, and tuner is mounted with bracket (sold separately).  Power is provided from behind the dash.

GPS Set-up

An Autotech will teach you how to:

• Find and get directions
• Find a Point of Interest
• Program your preferences
• Set-up a home location
• Save a destination
• Pair a Bluetooth phone to your GPS*

2 Channel Mono Amp Installation

Two-Channel or Mono amps tend to be used with subwoofers. The amp is mounted in an agreed upon location (i.e. trunk or rear of vehicle). All wiring is secured and hidden. All connections to the deck, battery, and speakers are made.

Overhead Mobile Video

The overhead mobile video will be mounted securely to an existing vehicle crossbar above the headliner. All wiring will be secured and hidden. Vehicles with an existing sunroof may require additional labor.

Single Subwoofer Install

Your subwoofer will be mounted and wired into a sub box. The sub will be oriented so it is straight and there are no air gaps.

Component Speakers Install

Install one pair of component speakers in an existing factory speaker location. The tweeter will be mounted in place of factory tweeters (if they exist) or in an agreed upon mounting location.

Deck Install

The existing stereo is removed and replaced with an aftermarket unit. Factory amplified vehicles may require additional parts/labor.

Advanced In-Dash Video System Install

The existing stereo is replaced with an aftermarket unit with a video screen. A connection is made to the parking brake to display video only with the parking brake on. This install applies to units with an outboard processor.
