The Installer 2 position goes to former Installer 1 professionals who have cut their teeth out in the field for a year or so, and who demonstrate the skills and responsibility to both work alone and supervise others.

Level 2 installers travel to customers’ homes or offices to install home theater solutions in one or multiple rooms, while also providing technical advice and assistance to customers. They may ride alone for non-custom jobs, or with another installer for more complex scopes of work.

They are expected to ask lifestyle questions and suggest additional products and services to enhance the customer experience. The Installer 2 must also possess stellar customer service skills, acting as a Geek Squad® representative in customers’ homes and as a consultant in the Precinct.


Responsibilities
  • • Complete installations to Geek Squad® quality standards, either alone or with team for more complex or custom jobs
  • • Supervise the work of Installer 1 team members
  • • Clearly communicate the scope of projects with customers
  • • Complete necessary paperwork
  • • Demonstrate strong customer service skills while representing the company during installations
  • • Communicate with call center or retail store via cell phone
Basic Qualifications
  • • High school diploma or equivalent minimum; 2-year technical Associate degree a plus
  • • One year of construction or A/V-related experience
  • • One year of customer service experience
  • • Appropriate certifications and licenses according to State law
  • • Current valid driver’s license and clear driving record
Preferred Qualifications
  • • 2-year technical Associate degree
  • • CEDIA, ICIA or NICET Certification; low-voltage license
