What types of hardware does Geek Squad repair?We repair nearly all computers including desktops, all-in-ones, notebooks, monitors and main accessories. Whether you purchased it at Best Buy® or somewhere else, we can fix it. We will diagnose and give you an estimate of the costs before beginning any work. Sometime the cost to repair exceeds the price to just purchase a new one and we'll make sure we tell you if that's the case.
Are all my repairs done in the store?Some repairs can be done in-store while more extensive repairs are sent to Geek Squad City, our central repair facility in Hillview, Kentucky.
Do you do work on devices that are under warranty?Yes, we are authorized by many major computer manufacturers (Sony, Hewlett Packard, Lenovo, Apple and more) to perform repair work covered by their warranties. Chat with an Agent for more details on your specific situation.
I have an Apple Care Protection Plan for my Macbook. How do I get that fixed under my plan?To get AppleCare support or service, visit a Best Buy store, visit an Apple store, call Apple at 1-800-275-2273, or visit Apple.com/support.
You can help keep those future repair bills to a minimum with our Computing Protection Plan. When you purchase any qualifying product in a Best Buy® Store or online from BestBuy.com, you will have the option to add Geek Squad Protection. If you didn't get a protection plan, you can add Geek Squad Protection within the product’s return and exchange period.
