Whether it involves replacing bad RAM, a malfunctioning motherboard or a cracked screen, we service most major brands regardless of when the device was purchased. Some repairs can be done onsite at your location, some can be done at our Precinct in your local Best Buy® store, but more extensive repairs will need to be sent to the experts at Geek Squad City, our central repair facility in Hillview, Kentucky.

Price of a repair will vary based on brand, extent of damage and cost of replacement parts. We can repair many products under the manufacturer's warranty or our Geek Squad Protection service plans. For products not covered by warranty or a service plan, we will provide an estimate of the cost for repair after an initial diagnostic. If we believe it is not cost effective to repair, we'll let you know.

What types of hardware does Geek Squad repair?
We repair nearly all computers including desktops, all-in-ones, notebooks, monitors and main accessories. Whether you purchased it at Best Buy® or somewhere else, we can fix it. We will diagnose and give you an estimate of the costs before beginning any work. Sometime the cost to repair exceeds the price to just purchase a new one and we'll make sure we tell you if that's the case.

Are all my repairs done in the store?
Some repairs can be done in-store while more extensive repairs are sent to Geek Squad City, our central repair facility in Hillview, Kentucky.

Do you do work on devices that are under warranty?
Yes, we are authorized by many major computer manufacturers (Sony, Hewlett Packard, Lenovo, Apple and more) to perform repair work covered by their warranties. Chat with an Agent for more details on your specific situation.

I have an Apple Care Protection Plan for my Macbook. How do I get that fixed under my plan?
