Best Buy Corporate notifies customers via mail and/or email that their product’s manufacturer’s warranty is expiring. Once this notice is received, you can call 1-800 GEEKSQUAD to extend your coverage. The coverage of these plans varies by product. These plans are not sold at Best Buy stores.

PLAN OVERVIEW

Offered in Best Buy stores on portable electronic products, this plan is designed for customers who do not frequent the U.S. with regularity. The International plans do not have all the benefits of Geek Squad Protection; for example, accidental damage from handling and one-time battery replacement are not included.

Renewal Plan

Customers receive a renewal notice via mail and/or email at the conclusion of their original Geek Squad Protection plan. Once this notice is received, you can call 1-800-GEEKSQUAD to renew your existing coverage. One-year term extensions – and longer, in some cases – are available on most products. These plans are not sold at Best Buy stores.
