EXTENDED COVERAGE FOR MAJOR PARTS
Once the manufacturer's warranty expires, compressors, transmissions, drive motor parts and remote controls are covered for two, four or five additional years depending on the plan purchased. (Maximum combined coverage limit of 10 years).
REINSTALLATION
If your unit needs service and we delivered and installed it, we'll reinstall it.
NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR
This includes repair costs for normal wear and tear, including defects in materials or workmanship and failures due to dust, internal heat and humidity.
POWER SURGE REPAIR
We handle the repair costs for equipment failure due to a power surge or fluctuation.
EXTENDED COVERAGE FOR VACUUM CLEANERS
Once the manufacturer's warranty expires, vacuum cleaners are covered for two or four additional years, depending on the plan purchased (maximum combined coverage limit of 10 years).
FOOD SPOILAGE ALLOWANCE
Should your freezer or refrigerator fail, we will cover up to $200 per claim in spoiled food.

How do I purchase Geek Squad Protection after I've purchased my product?
Geek Squad Protection plans may be purchased if it is within the product specific return policy period (located on the back of your receipt). Simply bring your receipt to the customer service desk of a Best Buy retail store and state that you would like to purchase the Geek Squad Protection plan.

How do I transfer Geek Squad Protection to someone else?
Any plan is transferable to another owner for the product identified by the serial number on the plan. There are no restrictions, provided your plan is valid, however a plan cannot be transferred to another product. You can transfer your plan to another consumer during the plan's coverage period, as long as the plan does not have an open claim. For more assistance call 1-800-GeekSquad (1-800-433-5778) or visit your local Best Buy store. Transfers must be completed by the original owner.

How soon until I can use Geek Squad Protection?
You can use it immediately, there is no need to register. For most major appliances repairs under Geek Squad Protection, we will come to you. To request an in-home repair on major appliances you can schedule online (subject to availability in your area) or by calling 1-800-GeekSquad.

How do I know if my product qualifies as a "lemon?"
When a third repair is requested for the same defect outside the manufacturer's warranty period, rather than fixing it, we will provide a replacement product of like kind and quality that's of comparable performance. See the full Terms and Conditions for details.

What if all of my food goes rotten because my refrigerator is broken?
Looks like you're going to be hungry. Just kidding. You're in luck, we will cover up to $200 in food lost from a refrigerator or freezer outage.

What if my pile of laundry keeps getting bigger while my washer is being repaired?
If you purchased your Geek Squad Protection plan on the washer before July 5, 2014, we can help that pile get smaller with $25 in laundry money. We understand you want to make sure you have that special outfit clean in time for the party and are just trying to be helpful.
