Deputy Field Marshals (DFMs) are born leaders and self-starters. They’re responsible for protecting, delivering, and personifying our field service and Geek Squad brand, while managing the complexities of a highly mobile workforce. They serve as the primary advocates for our Agents and supervise up to 20 employees.

DFMs provide district- or market-level leadership through decision-making, influencing, and coaching others, and acting as subject-matter experts, while inspiring innovation and focusing on client satisfaction. They’re responsible for ensuring the delivery of superior client service, enhancing the employee experience, driving operational efficiency, and growing the business in an effort to support converging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the adoption of the Field Services Vision, Mission, and Guiding Principles at all levels within the district/market
• Provide all aspects of employee support and supervision in stores and in the field, while working with district leadership to control costs and meet productivity goals
• Resolve all client and employee issues and questions
• Address safety concerns and ensure legal and licensing compliance
• Participate in training, certifications, and increased proficiencies of team
• Follow up with clients to ensure their satisfaction

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years experience leading direct reports; leadership/supervisory experience in a retail or services environment a plus
• Appropriate certifications and licenses according to State law
• Must be Best Buy Certified within 90 days of becoming employed
• Current valid driver’s license and clear driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree
• Geek Squad experience in addition to home theater installation experience
• 5 years experience in low-voltage wiring and residential construction
